The Notch House

One of the first hotels in the White Mountains, the Notch House was opened in January 1829.  The proprietor was Thomas J. Crawford, the brother of Ethan Crawford.  Fire leveled the structure in 1854. Find details about all the White Mountain Artists at this link:
